"Some years ago, I hurt my back pulling a boat out of the lake. I was in such pain that I vowed to do whatever it took to avoid future back problems. When my doctor recommended strength training, I was very skeptical. I didn’t find muscular, body building women attractive, and I didn’t desire that look for myself. Fortunately, I took my doctor’s advice and started training with Ginger in 1999. Ginger explained that strength training is about having the energy and ability to do regular activities easier and pain free. Through my training, I’ve gained the strength I need to canoe around the lake and water-ski, things I had previously avoided because I didn’t have the necessary upper body strength. I really noticed an improvement in my strength when I went on vacation. Before training with Ginger, I had a very difficult time getting my suitcase in the overhead bin of a plane. After a few months of training, I went on another trip and put the same suitcase in the overhead bin with no trouble at all!
